The Poetry and Art of Michal (Mitak) Mahgerefteh

I create contemporary Hamsa designs inspired by nature, symbolism, and the universal desire for protection, balance, and well-being. Working in mixed media, I develop each composition through layered botanical forms, pattern, color, and repeated refinement. The completed designs are professionally printed, and selected works are further transformed by hand with ink, watercolor, metallic gold and silver, and other details. Through this layered process, I reinterpret the enduring Hamsa symbol for contemporary life.

Solo exhibition for the Hamsa Collection
